All broadcasters have a slip of the tongue from time to time.  However, some slips are much more embarrassing than others.

CBS football play-by-play man Jim Nantz made an embarrassing mistake during the Jets-Patriots game on Sunday.  After the New England Patriots were able to polish off the New York Jets 29-26 in overtime, Jim Nantz insisted that the Jets won the game.

Nantz didn’t accidentally say that the Jets won and the Patriots lost.  Jim Nantz went into great detail to say that the Jets were about to be the biggest underdog winner in the NFL on Sunday.  It finally dawned on Nantz that he goofed and the Patriots were about the win the game.  Whoops.  I think Jim Nantz is a good NFL commentator, but this definitely wasn’t one of his better moments.
