Well, the fans of Jimmer Fredette got to see the Glens Falls native back in the NBA for 10-days...

Fredette, who signed a 10-day deal with the New York Knicks that ended on Thursday, appears to be headed back to the club's D-League affiliate.

Jimmer wasn't used properly, or even at all really, with the Knicks. In five games under Kurt Rambis, he played five minutes - and produced seven points.

It seems likely that Fredette could have helped a Knicks team that has lost 16 of its last 19 games and is heading towards the basement of the Eastern Conference.

But back in the D-League, Jimmer is a star. He averaged more than 20 points a game during his earlier stint in Westchester this season. He also earned MVP of the D-League all-star game after scoring 35 points, a record performance.

In the Capital Region, we just hope to see Fredette get a shot at playing meaningful minutes somewhere.

Hopefully that somewhere is back in the NBA.
