For the fourth time in his career, Jimmie Johnson would kiss the bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as he took the checkered flag once again at the Crown Royal Presents The Curtiss Shaver 400 At The Brickyard on Sunday.

Johnson showed his dominance in the race leading 99 of the 160 laps in his eventual victory. This is Johnson's third victory of the season which basically locks him in to the Race For The Chase later on this season.

Kyle Busch would take second place followed by Greg Biffle. Dale Earnhardt Jr would take fourth and Jeff Gordon would take fifth giving Owner Rick Hendrick with three cars in the Top Five.

More good news for Rick Hendrick is that his driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. moved into first place in the Sprint Cup Standings after points leader Matt Kenseth was involved in a crash at lap 132 taking him out of the race. Kenseth would finish 35th. This is the first time that Earnhardt Jr. has led the Sprint Cup Standings since October of 2004. He would lose the lead a few days later after he was deducted 25 points for swearing during a post race interview.
