Rick Hendrick got his 200th victory as an owner on Saturday night as Jimmie Johnson was victorious in the Southern 500 at Darlington.

Darlington is dubbed "The Track Too Tough To Tame", but that didn't seem to be the case on Sunday as we had 172 laps of green flag racing until we finally saw a yellow and that was only for debris on the track.  The race saw 8 caution flags in total.  Greg Biffle was strong leading a good portion of the first 100 laps. Jimmie Johnson would take control of the second 100 laps and Denny Hamlin would lead much of the third 100 laps.  The last 50 laps would see Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Johnson flip flop the lead with Tony Stewart not too far behind

Johnson seemed to be in complete control in the final few laps,  but with 7 laps to go Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman would crash bringing out a caution and eventually a green-white checkered finish. Johnson would overcome the restart and take the checkered flag to  give owner Rick Hendrick his 200th win. Hamlin would take 2nd place followed by Stewart, Kyle Busch and Truex Jr. rounding out the top 5

Speaking of Hendrick Motorsports, Jeff Gordon's string of bad luck continued having multiple left rear tire problems in the matter of a few laps.   Gordon has only 2 top 10 finishes so far this year.

Next week won't be about points, it will be about cash as the Sprint Cup Series All Star Race takes place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Coverage of the race will be on SPEED at 7pm.
