The Yankees already depleted bullpen got even more depleted today.

Today, the Yanks played relief pitcher Joba Chamberlain on the 15-day disabled list with a strained flexor muscle.

Chamberlain will be shut down for the next 10-14 days before the Yankees' physicians reevaluate his status. He seems likely to miss a total of three or four weeks.

The 25-year-old is the Yanks primary set-up man due to the injury of Rafael Soriano.  In 28.2 innings, Chamberlain has a 2.83 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 12 holds.

Right-hander Hector Noesi has been sent down to Triple-A Scranton, while the Yankees brought up pitchers Amauri Sanit and Jeff Marquez to fill those roster spots.
