The Brooklyn Nets had high expectations for Joe Johnson coming into this season, expectations that he has largely failed to meet through the first quarter of the season. He took a big step towards silencing his critics last night, however, with a buzzer beating game winner against the Detroit Pistons.

Johnson, who is shooting a disappointing 43% from the field, took on a great defender in Detroit's Tayshaun Prince and his step back jumper looked good from the moment it left his hands. If he can continue to hit big shots like this, Nets fans will forget about his shooting percentages very quickly.

The Nets, with the win, improved to 13-9 and sit in second place in the Atlantic Division behind the scorching New York Knicks.
