Jose Reyes was taken out of Saturday's game against the Yankees due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Reyes suffered the injury while running out an infield single in the 1st inning.  Reyes was replaced at shortstop by Ruben Tejada in the top of the 3rd.  The Mets eventually lost the game to the Yankees 5-2.  It's the second straight game the Mets have dropped against the Yankees at Citi Field.

Reyes hurt his right hamstring in 2009 and was only able to play in 36 games that season.  The National League MVP candidate hurt his left hamstring on Saturday.  That could potentially be a positive sign for a quick return.  The Mets can ill afford to lose Reyes for any time.  They were already the walking wounded before Reyes made an early exit on Saturday.
