The New York Giants have reportedly agreed to a one year deal with former Tampa Bay and Minnesota Quarterback Josh Freeman.

Freeman now 26 years old was a first round draft pick with the Buccaneers in 2009. Once believed to be a rising star has fallen on hard times recently. There's no doubt Freeman has all the physical tools needed to back up Eli Manning now it's a question of if the giants coaching staff can get Freeman to realize the potential he once showed.

Josh Freeman is a clear upgrade to previous back up QB Curtis Painter, who only has 6 career touchdown passes. If for any reason the ankle injury slows Manning's recovery expect Freeman to get a lot of preseason snaps.
