The reasoning behind Jason Pierre-Paul showing up to the Giants facility on Monday is nothing but positive if you're a Giants fan.

The main motivator is money as Pierre-Paul's group has immediately begun negotiations on a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

It had previously been indicated that Pierre-Paul would stay away from the facility until close to being ready to play. Rapoport reports that Pierre-Paul is now efforting to show the Giants that he will be ready before Week Six, which would mean the Giants would be less likely to put him on the Non-Football Injury List.

If Pierre-Paul dodges the NFI, the Giants clearly believe that they can use him before the seventh week of the season.

There was no word from the Giants facility by Monday night on the status of Pierre-Paul but this was to be expected as the team continues to wait on test results from both the hospital and team training staff.

The two-time Pro Bowler had an up-and-down season in 2014, but still finished with 12.5 sacks. There is not one person on the Giants current roster who has had more than 7.5 sacks in a single season.
