The talk has been about Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards fight for first place in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, but Kasey Kahne came out victorious at the Phoenix International Raceway for the first time in 81 Races.

Kahne won his first race since the 2009 race in Atlanta  after taking the lead with about 14 laps left. Carl Edwards finished 2nd, followed Tony Stewart, Jeff Burton and Stewart's Teammate Ryan Newman rounding out the top 5.

This was Kahne's next to last race with Red Bull Racing as he will be taking over the #5 for Hendrick Motorsports in 2012. Red Bull Racing will no longer be a part of NASCAR next year.

The point differential is the same as when the race started. Stewart is 3 points behind Edwards leading into the final race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It all goes down next Sunday with the green flag dropping at 3pm on ESPN.
