If you're a fan of the Carolina Panthers, start tempering your playoff goals.

If you're a fantasy football fan, start to alter those draft strategies or hit the waiver wire:

Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is now out for the season after suffering a Torn ACL during a joint practice on Wednesday between the Panthers and the Dolphins.

According to an ESPN.com article, Benjamin's knee gave out gave out during a routine cut.

The two teams broke out in a fight also yesterday, but that didn't have anything to do with this injury. A fight is the last thing these two teams need.

Rookie Devin Funchess is the most likely candidate be called onto to try to help alleviate the loss of Benjamin.

Benjamin, the first-round pick of the Panthers in 2014, had 73 catches a year ago. He totaled 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Florida State alum was the best weapon for Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton.
