As most of the experts predicted, Anthony Davis of Kentucky went to the New Orleans Hornets as the number one draft pick in the this years NBA draft.

When the number one pick was called in Thursday nights NBA draft, it didn't really take anyone by surprise. The 2012 national player of the year, Anthony Davis, was selected number one. He can add that accomplishment to his already impressive resume.

Kentucky became the first school to have the top two picks. Michael Kidd-Gilchrest wentas the number two pick to the Charlotte Bobcats. Overall, Kentucky had six selections on the first night of a draft. Bradley Beal of Florida went number three, Syracuse's Dion Waiters went number four and Thomas Robinson of Kansas rounded out the top five.
