Kentucky Wildcats forward Nerlens Noel went down with what appears to be a serious knee injury on Tuesday night.

Nerlens Noel is thought to be the future #1 overall pick of the upcoming 2013 NBA Draft.  The 6’10” freshman forward from Everett, MA is an extremely gifted player.  Hopefully, the knee injury that he suffered against the Florida Gators on Tuesday night won’t do anything to force his draft stock to slip.

Noel tried to block a layup by Florida guard Mike Rosario with 8:03 remaining in the 2nd half.  Noel landed awkwardly and suffered an injured left knee.  Florida center Patric Young told the Palm Beach Post, “His leg was wobbly, knee looked dislocated.  It was gruesome.  I don’t want to think about it.”  Florida beat Kentucky 69-52.
