With the deadline to withdraw his name from next month's NBA Draft fast-approaching, Kevin Huerter has decided his time is now. The Shenendehowa grad wildly impressed NBA team brass and scouts during the combine and in private workouts.

As a 6'7" knock down shooter with off-the-charts basketball IQ who can defend three positions on the floor, Huerter is a perfect fit for today's NBA. The Red Mamba as he became affectionately known by Maryland fans in his two seasons there, shot 42 percent from three-point range.

Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo, who has been a guest on Big Board Sports, had the news of Huerter's intentions first on Twitter and then Kevin made it official on Instagram. Many experts have Huerter projected in the top 20 of the draft and Woo, himself, has the now-former Terp going 18th overall.
