Kid Cries Over Brent Lillibridge Trade [VIDEO]

Kevin Youkilis was one of the key pieces in the Boston Red Sox 2004 and 2007 World Series Championships. He is a three time all-star and a gold glove award winning first baseman. Brent Lillibridge is a platooning outfielder with a .215 career batting average. If you were a betting man, which player’s departure in yesterday’s trade would you guess made this little kid cry?

If you said Brent Lillibridge, you would be correct! That’s right, when this little guy heard the news that his favorite player was traded for Youkilis, it was just too much for him. This video is adorable and hilarious, unless of course you’re Kenny Williams. Watching your young fans cry over Brent Lillibridge while you’re paying tens of millions of dollars to the likes of Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko must be like watching your infant play with the cardboard box that the back ordered Tickle Me Elmo came in. Of course, if Kevin Youkilis can manage to out play Lillibridge, which wont be all too difficult, I’m sure the young man will warm up to him and forget that Brent was ever there. I mean, lets be honest, most of the other White Sox fans didn’t know he was on the team until the day they traded him…
