Headlining the draft class were the two big men, not surprisingly: Karl Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor. It is the other top picks, however, that Ford has been switching around every mock draft.

In this latest edition, Ford has the Knicks selecting the talented point / off guard D’Angelo Russell out of Ohio State. Recently, the Knicks had Russell in for a private workout to evaluate the game of the talented play maker.

Russell has always been on the Knicks radar as they are in desperate need of somebody who will be able to help run the show, and more importantly take some pressure off of the Knicks centerpiece Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks would jump all over the opportunity to draft Russell if he fell to the fourth spot in the draft, but they shouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t on the board come their time to choose, as Russell has been a top three prospect for several weeks now.

All we know for sure is that it’s time for the Phil Jackson rebuilding era to finally start, and D’Angelo Russell is one of many guys that would help the Knicks up, from the bottom. The NBA Draft is Thursday June 25th.

Knicks President Phil Jackson joins Mike and Mike on Monday morning at 9:30am, on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio.
