The season kicked off with a bang for the New York Knicks when they beat the rival Celtics.  Now they are without Amare Stoudemire and his absence is definitely being felt. Amare Stoudemire has been a big part of the Knicks resurgence as an NBA team worth talking about.  Now he is out with a sprained ankle and New York is feeling the loss.  They got by a very young Sacramento team, but lost last night to division rival Toronto 90-85.

The Knicks didn't handle themselves very well at the start of the game and only scored 11 points in the second quarter.  That ended up hurting them as well as their late game effort as well.  While Carmelo Anthony continues to perform, he can't do it on his own.  He had 35 points last night.  Right now the Knicks are 2-3, and it's not time to panic yet.  It is showing though, if they lose Amare or Carmelo down the stretch then this team could be in some serious trouble.
