The Los Angeles Lakers were able to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 90-87 on Sunday.  Although Kobe didn't have a spectacular performance, he proved that he's still the best in one department.

When it comes to crunch time, I still trust Kobe Bryant more than any other player in the NBA to make a big shot.  Kobe didn't have a great game against the Thunder.  He only shot 8-for-22 from the field, and scored just 17 points.  That's a subpar day for him.  But Kobe hit a huge shot with Thabo Sefolosha draped all over him with only :56 seconds remaining.  It gave the Lakers a 90-87 lead, which ended up being the final score.

The Miami Heat hasn't been able to figure out who their go-to guy is at the end of a close game.  Is it LeBron James?  Dwyane Wade?  Chris Bosh?  Is it Eddie House or Mike Miller?  They don't even know.  There is no doubt that the go-to guy for the Lakers is the Black Mamba.

You might come across stats which try to counter the thought that Kobe Bryant isn't clutch when the game is on the line.  Sure, Kobe has missed some big shots.  He isn't perfect, but he has delivered numerous times when the game is up for grabs by hitting enormous shots.

The same thought holds true for Michael Jordan.  Jordan was unbelievably clutch during his career.  He hit a ton of huge shots.  Believe it or not, he actually missed his fair share also.  Does that mean he wasn't clutch?  Absolutely not.  It's the same thing with Kobe Bryant.  I'll take my chances with Kobe Bryant taking the final shot.  If you prefer someone in a key situation besides Kobe, good luck.
