Los Angeles Clippers small forward Lamar Odom gets a little confused about which team he plays for.  Can you guess which team he accidentally mentions?

This is just awkward.  I actually felt bad for Lamar Odom as I watched him accidentally say that he still plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.  Odom was actually crushed when the Lakers traded him to the Dallas Mavericks last season.  Initially, Lamar Odom was supposed to be part of a three-team trade to the New Orleans Hornets that commissioner David Stern put an end to.  Odom later asked for a trade and was dealt to the Mavs.

Watching this video is like hearing a guy talk about his new romance while he accidentally mentions the name of his past girlfriend that he hasn’t gotten over yet.  Right or wrong?  Freakin true.  That’s why I felt bad for Odom.  It’s not just a simple slip of the tongue.  There is a huge difference between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.  The difference between playing for Michigan and Michigan State doesn’t sound big, but trust me; it is.  This is a major boo-boo by Lamar.

You can hear plenty of NBA action this season on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.  There might even be a post-game interview featuring Clippers forward Lamar Odom talking about the stellar game he just played for the Lakers.  Too soon?
