Shenendehowa baseball star Ian Anderson isn't the only Capital Region native drafted so far in the MLB Draft: LaSalle baseball graduate and Coastal Carolina star Zach Remillard heard his name called in the 10th round by the Chicago White Sox.

Remillard's brother Will, is in the system for the crosstown rival Chicago Cubs.

Zach was a first-team All-Big South selection this year and was named the most valuable player at the Raleigh Regional after leading the Chanticleers to the regional title. They'll take on LSU today in the Super Regional.

Zach is really excelling at the plate this year, as he ranks 12th in the nation in home runs with 18. He's hitting .348 this year as well with 67 RBIs.

Remillard was not the only Capital Region tie to Day 2 of the MLB Draft as UAlbany's Stephen Woods was taken in the 8th round. Union star Jake Fishman could go on Day 3 and UAlbany's Ryan Nitar could go as well.
