As if there's wasn't enough attention, Cano's being courted by Jay-Z and his new agency.

The question remains as to whether or not a team will step forward with the $300+ million that Jay-Z is suggesting.

"Not yet, it's not to say it won't happen," said Sports Illustrated's Tom Verducci, who joined Joe and Brix on Tuesday. "As far as 3 years, $310 million, I think the number is going to be a lot closer to 200 million than 300 million."

The Mets went to dinner with Cano and Jay-Z this week but that seems to be a 'no-go' and Verducci explained that this thing won't be wrapping up any time soon.

"It's one of those cases where it's hard to see where this market is going. There will be a market on him but I think it will be a late developing one."
