The American League and National League Division Series are all well underway. Saturday was a big day as some teams came out of the gate strong in their game one while others made a statement to get back into the series.

How did the Brewers, Phillies, Rangers, and Yankees all get their wins?

NLDS Cardinals v. Phillies:

The St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies got their series underway on Saturday with a slug-fest. The Cards got on the board first against Roy Haladay with a 3-run blast from team MVP Lance Berkman. But Doc found his groove and was able to hold down the Cardinals for the remainder of the game. Ryan Howard provided the big blast in the game with a 3-run home run of his own. Raul Ibanez smacked a 2-run shot as the Phillies won game one 11-6.

NLDS Brewers v. Diamondbacks:

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks got their NLDS started on Saturday as the Brewers got a great start from their ace Yovani Gallardo who went 8 innings giving up 4 hits, 1 run, walking 1 and striking out 9. Prince Fielder as usual provided the offense with a 2-run shot. The Brewers tacked on a couple more to win game one 4-1.

ALDS Rays v. Rangers:

The Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers played game two of their ALDS on Saturday. The Rangers stormed back from being down 0-1 in the series and got a much needed comeback win. The Rays got off to an early 3-0 lead thanks to an Evan Longoria 3-run home run. But the Rangers came back thanks to a 5-run 4th inning. Matt Joyce powered a 2-run shot in the 7th to bring the Rays to within 1 run. But the Rangers and Neftali Feliz shut the door in the 9th winning the game 8-6 and tying the series at 1-1.

ALDS Tigers v. Yankees:

The New York Yankees got off to a great start in game one of their ALDS versus the Detroit Tigers. Ivan Nova pitched 6 solid innings. Robinson Cano was the star of the game with 6 RBI, tying him for the franchise lead in most RBI in a single postseason game with a grand slam.
