LeBron James helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the franchise's first home NBA Finals victory

The Cleveland Cavaliers not only won their first NBA Finals home game in franchise history but also took a 2 games to one lead in the 2015 NBA Finals with a 96 to 91 victory over the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James again led the way for the Cavaliers with 40 points 12 rebounds and 8 assists. James has now scored the most points ever in the history of the NBA Finals in the first three games of the series. The Warriors struggled to find the basket through the second and third quarters. Golden State, one of the best scoring teams in the NBA this season were only able to score a combined 35 points in both the 2nd and 3rd. Stephon Curry, the league's MVP scored 27 points on 10 of 20 shooting. In the history of the NBA Finals the winner of Game 3 has gone on to win to the series 84% of the time. The Warriors were able to cut the lead to three points with less than 3 minutes to go but the unlikely hero of this NBA Finals, Australia's own Matthew Dellavadova continued to make key free throws in the late game situations to hang on to the lead. The product of St. Mary's was showered with "DELL-E, DELL-E" as early as pre game warm ups.  Dellavadova finished with 20 points. Cleveland, a city now known for its sports disappointment has not won a professional sports championship since the 1964 Cleveland Browns won the NFL Championship, two years prior to the Super Bowl. Game 4 of the NBA Finals is set to tip off Thursday in the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
