LeBron Scores 51 Points

Here is another case of a superstar using extra motivation to torch an opponent.

LeBron James led the Miami Heat to a 104-100 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.  LeBron went off for 51 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Not bad.

The interesting story is that LeBron had some extra motivation leading up to the game.  Otis Smith, the GM of the Orlando Magic, made a comment that caught the attention of King James.

After LeBron announced his decision to play for the Miami Heat, Otis Smith said, "I was surprised he went (to Miami).  I thought he was, I guess more of a competitor."

LeBron proceeded to hit his first 11 shots against the Magic.  He scored 51 points and showed the all athletes, especially elite athletes, take note when people doubt anything about them.
