Lin Leads The Knicks!

Who you ask? Fair question. Ungeralded and little used Jeremy Lin a castoff by 2 teams so far this season and mostly a bystander as the Knicks have struggled was the star as the Knicks overcame a 10 point deficit and a 3rd game in 3 nights to beat the NJ nets at the Garden Saturday night 99-92.

Lin had the complete game: 25 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals was the scoreline for the harvard grad as the Knicks wiped away a bitter 2 losses against the Bulls and Celtics on Thursday and Friday nights. Friday Ny lost at Boston when landry Fields was called on to take the final shot, a hoist from deep while Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire stood arounf and observed.

Lin who has been cut by Houston and Golden State had played a total of  33 minutes with NY played 36 Saturday and continually broke down the Nets defense with his driving and finishing moves.

Lin was also solid on the defensive side holding Nets star Deron Williams scoreless in the 3rd qtr. Williams finished with 21 points. Lin was a slashing and dishing dervish on this night, perhaps earning more time as the Knicks struggle finding a distributor. lin also showed a nice shooting touch.

The Knicks had lost 11 of their past 14 games and the buzzards are circling around Coach Mike D'antoni as the Knicks sink to the bottom of the Atlantic division. Tyson Chandler finished with 17 points in hisd finest offensive showing of the year. Stoudemire also finished with 17 points. The Knicks will get back at it Monday night vs Utah at the Garden
