Jeremy Lin has been playing some great basketball for the New York Knicks.  However, don't expect his first six starts to be the norm.

Jeremy Lin has been fantastic in his first six starts for the New York Knicks.  "Linsanity" has taken the sports world by storm.  However, it's ridiculous to not expect his individual production to dip a little bit.  Jeremy Lin averaged 20 points and 7 assists in his first four starts for the Knicks.  Nobody in the history of the league had ever done that.  Do you really expect Lin to sustain that level of production?

If you do, you are basically saying that Jeremy Lin, the undrafted kid out of Harvard, is going to have a career that is comparable to the greatest point guards in the history of the NBA.  I don't want to go anywhere near that bandwagon.  He simply cannot sustain this type of individual success.  I don't think he's going to fall off completely.  He isn't fool's gold.  Lin is a good player that can be productive for the Knicks.  I expect his production to slow down though.
