Earlier this week, capital region native Moriah Formica performed the national anthem during the pre-game of a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park. The Red Sox lost to the Oakland Athletics in their match up that evening 6-5. Formica, gained national fame in 2017, when she a performer on NBC's reality television series The Voice. 

Formica was eliminated in the playoff round which was just before the top twelve (also known as the live shows) in Season thirteen. Last year Formica joined the WGNA staff (sister station of 1045 The Team) to discuss her career and her time on the reality show.
