Local Sports Weekend in Review
Hopefully you were able to get out and enjoy a very busy weekend of local sports. If you weren't able to catch local HS or college action, here's what you missed.
Division 1 Hockey
RPI is now 4-6 on the season after splitting two games this weekend. The Engineers fell on Friday, 4-0, to Harvard, before beating Dartmouth 2-1 on Saturday. Union is now 5-4-1 after going 0-1-1. The Dutchmen lost to Dartmouth on Friday in OT before tying with Harvard on Saturday.
UAlbany Athletics
UAlbany football hung tough with a much bigger Delaware squad, falling 31-28 on Saturday. The Danes continue to play well and play hard for first-year head coach Greg Gattuso.
A better weekend for UAlbany field hockey, who beat UNH 5-0 to win the America East Championship! The Danes will play Wake Forest in the NCAA tournament.
Siena Athletics
The Saints men's basketball team defeated Division II Gannon on Saturday at the ARC in the final exhibition game of the season.
HS Football
