It has been quite the season for LSU and Les Miles.  They are on the verge of an unbeaten season and now Les has won the AP Coach of the year award. Out of 56 votes, 30 of them went to Les Miles giving the honor of the 2011 Coach of the year.  Bill Snyder of Kansas came in second place with 16 votes.  This honor comes to Miles on the cusp of possibly the greatest season in LSU history.

On January 9th, LSU takes on Alabama in the BCS title game.  If LSU can beat Alabama again then they will have themselves a perfect season.   Miles already has one National title under his belt since joining LSU in 2005, now he could be bringing back another one.
