The New York Rangers home opener couldn't of went any worst than it did Sunday night. On a night where the team was celebrated for its glorious Stanley Cup run last season, they quickly got a dose of reality falling to the Maple Leafs 6-3.

The Maple Leafs handed Henrik Lundqvist one of his worst nights of his career. The Maple Leafs scored five times on Lundqvist in the second period. It was just the second time in Lundqvist's career that he had allowed five goals in one period.

The only highlight for the Rangers was Rick Nash. Nash, scored his fourth goal of the season in the 1st period to tie the game up for the Rangers. He would later leave the game to join his wife that is expected to go into labor anytime now.

The Rangers play the second of four straight home games when they host the New York Islanders Tuesday night.
