On Saturday, the University at Albany men's lacrosse season ended with a 14-10 loss to Notre Dame in the NCAA quarterfinal.

It was the second straight year the Danes lost to the Irish, but this loss also ended the illustrious career of Lyle Thompson, who ends his career with the most points in NCAA history (400).

We were joined today by Sam Benson of Bleacher Report, who spoke about Notre Dame's win over the Danes, the Irish' chances of winning the national championship, and the overall impact of Lyle Thompson on the sport.

"He pulled in so many non-lacrosse fans. He made the game so much more exciting...You don't have to be a lacrosse fan to see what a special player looks like... In the long run, I think, college lacrosse is taking a hit considering the fact that he's gone now.," Benson said.
