The Giants knew that Martellus Bennett could catch when they signed him this off-season, but I don’t think anyone in the front office could have anticipated this. Using his “spidey-senses,” Bennett potentially saved a life last night, catching a fan, who had fallen over the railing at MetLife stadium.

Bennett was making his way back to the tunnel when he spotted the man falling, and caught him before his 15 foot plunge game to an ugly end. After the game, the tight end spoke about the incident, claiming that the unnamed fan “owes me his first-born or something. Actually I don't want that. Maybe a sandwich or something." Is there anything more refreshing than a modest hero?

When informed that the man had been booked on undisclosed charges, the self-proclaimed Black Unicorn was candid in his sympathies. “That sucks,” he said.
