Canada and Mexico were throwing full-blown haymakers on Saturday night during the World Baseball Classic.  Mexico took offense to Canada bunting to begin the ninth inning.  Canada was leading 9-3 at the time, but was still trying to score runs.  Run differential matters during pool play in international competition.

Mexico didn’t take kindly to Canada bunting to begin the ninth inning while they were leading the game by six runs.  Mexico pitcher hit Canadian Rene Tosoni with a pitch.  The fight was on.  Some players from Canada also started having words with fans in the stands after pitching coach Denis Boucher was hit with a bottle.  The brawl surprisingly resulted in no suspensions.
