After the New York Jets bruiser Chris Ivory signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets running back depth was lacking. That is set to change, as sources are announcing ex-Chicago Bear Matt Forte is set to sign with the team.

Forte a former second-round pick out of Tulane amassed 8,602 rushing yards, 487 receptions, 4,116 receiving yards and 64 total touchdowns during his time in Chicago.

Pending on what the Jets do at the quarterback situation with Ryan Fitzpatrick, this will be the an immediate upgrade to the Jets offense. Forte will be playing along side of ex Bears teammate Brandon Marshall.
