Matt Harvey To Make Mets Debut Tonight [VIDEO]
Tonight is the night that Mets fans have long been waiting for: the debut of top pitching prospect Matt Harvey. Harvey was the Mets first pick (7th overall) in the 2010, out of the University of North Carolina.
This season, in Triple-A Buffalo, Harvey has gone 7-5 with a 3.68 ERA in 20 starts. The 6’4” righty is a power pitcher, with mid-90’s velocity, a slider, a curve and a change. For more information about the 2012 Mets last hope, check out this informative video, courtesy of SNY.
Harvey will take the mound in Arizona at 9:40p.m., where he will face off against left-hander Wade Miley.
