In their 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night, the Rangers suffered another injury. And once again it was their captain.

Toronto's leading scorer and all-star Leo Komarov was ejected after landing an elbow to the head of Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh late in the first period. The hit comes only a few weeks after McDonagh took a cheap-shot from Philadelphia Flyers right-winger Wayne Simmons that cost him four games.

There is no timetable for McDonagh's return, but it is expected that he could miss a game or two. Head coach Alain Vigneault said post-game that he would let the league handle the punishment, thus eluding to his team moving on.

Rangers forward Derick Brassard had a pair of goals, while Mats Zuccarello aged a goal and 2 assists.

The Rangers next game is Sunday as they return home to play the Detroit Red Wings.
