Despite losing Carmelo Anthony for the second half last night, the New York Knicks beat the Boston Celtics by a score of 120-114 in an old-time thriller that reminded us of classic Eastern Conference games.

The Knicks got 17 from 'Melo before he exited with that injury and also got 26 points from Kristaps Porzingis. KP was 10-18 from the floor.

Aaron Afflalo had 24 points but the real star was Jerian Grant, who had 16 off the bench. He went 5-6 from the floor in his 23 minutes of action.

With the win, the Knicks are now 20-20 as they continue their attempts to get back into the Eastern Conference playoffs.

With the loss, the Celtics are now 19-19.

According to Berman's article:

As for Anthony, he said his status for Wednesday in Brooklyn was “up in the air,” but he vowed he will be good to face Matt Barnes and the Grizzlies Saturday in Memphis. Anthony missed the Dec. 23 game in Cleveland with a right-ankle sprain but said it’s not the same injury.
