The New York Knicks had a big win last night, topping the Utah Jazz in overtime by a score of 118-111.

With the win, the Knicks move to 22-22 as they continue their quest for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Carmelo Anthony had 30 points to lead the way, going 13-20 from the field in the win. And those 30 points helped 'Melo accomplish a pretty impressive feat...

Any time you can pass Larry Bird for anything, you're starting to talk about a serious accomplishment. 'Melo has averaged 25.0 points per game for his career, which began in the 2003-2004 season.

People have often been critical of Carmelo and the way he's played, but he has been a much better team player this season. Armed with sidekick Kristaps Porzingis and a better role player in Aaron Afflalo, Anthony is taking between 3-5 less shots this year than he has taken over his past three years with the Knicks.
