The New York Mets have agreed to a deal in principal with Terry Collins to manage the team for two more years with his salary expected to be increased. GM Sandy Alderson will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon along with Collins to announce the deal.

Collins has been one of the driving forces behind the Mets turnaround, he has managed the Mets for the last five seasons, going 394-416. 2015 was his first winning season in Queens, The team finished 90-72 and won the National League East this year.

Just like the other elderly coach in New York Tom Coughlin , Collins has been rumored to being let go in the past couple seasons.
