Well, Mets fans... We know the pain of a potential World Series title is permanent. So close, yet so far away...

But, at least you aren't this guy: Who has a permanent, physical reminder of the Mets loss.

We see this kind of thing all the time. Fan gets tattoo, sometimes before the season in some kind of prophetic moment, and sometime in a fit of overconfidence.

What do you think about this fan's tattoo? Would you ever be willing to mark your body with your favorite teams before they had even won the title?

For me, I think it would cause karma. I'm very superstitious and I don't think I would bring myself to do something like this for the fear of a massive jinx.

Evidently, the jinx was in effect here as the Mets lost the World Series 4-1 to the Royals after dominating the NLCS, a series in which they swept the Cubs.
