The Mets didn't have much time to wait between the end of the World Series and getting ready for 2016.

They had to immediately identify needs so they can get ready for the upcoming season. One of those needs identified is the bullpen: We knew it all along, that the Mets weakest link was the bridge between the great starting pitching and closer Jeurys Familia.

So who might the Mets be interested in?

Soria is a quality arm who has experience in big games and pressure situations. He's registered 202 saves in his career, including a 42 in 2008 for the Royals. He had 24 this year for the Tigers and Pirates, 23 of which came for Detroit while filling in for an injured Joe Nathan.

Soria started his career with Kansas City before going to Texas, Detroit and Pittsburgh. He's a veteran arm that could definitely help solidify the Mets back end of the 'pen. That's the No.1 need for New York to get back to the World Series.
