The New York Mets were off to a red hot 4-0 start, but drop their first game of the 2012 season.  Not the only loss, David Wright suffered a broken pinkie.

It was only a matter of time before the Mets would lose their first game.  Not a big deal considering we are only in April.  A bigger loss might be the fact that they may lose David Wright after he suffered a broken pinkie in the 6-2 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.

Wright will be missing the Wednesday afternoon game against Washington while his finger is evaluated.  Manager Terry Collins says that they will wait until Friday to make any calls about the disabled list.  If Wright is to miss a few games, it's likely that the Mets will move Daniel Murphy to third base in place of Wright.
