According to ESPN, the Binghamton Mets will be no more after the wrap of the 2012 season.  Team officials are denying the report.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, the Binghamton Mets are on the move.  The team would be moving to Ottawa, but Binghamton Mets president Mike Urda is denying rumors of the sell.  Sources close to the team say that despite the denial, the team is on the move per the pending transaction.

Binghamton has been a AA affiliate of the Mets for almost 20 years, they began in 1992.  The people of Binghamton will not be without a baseball team, the Ottawa report states that they will bring in another team, most likely from the NY Penn League.
