Towards the end of the week, original reports indicated that Harvey would be starting Game 3, but Collins said that concerns over Jacob deGrom needing more rest, led to the decision of pushing deGrom back.

This post-season, deGrom has posted a team-high of 20 innings pitched. The 27-year old is also the only Mets pitcher to make three postseason starts.

Official rotation:
Game 1: Matt Harvey
Game 2: Jacob deGrom
Game 3: Noah Syndergaard
Game 4: Steven Matz

Mets fans have said all along that there really is no wrong answer to what order their talented rotation is laid out for the World Series. Exactly one week ago, Harvey pitched eight innings for the Mets and looked fantastic, which has to be part of this equation as well.

Game 1 of the 2015 World Series, Mets at Royals, is Tuesday at 8:07p ET, and can be heard on "Your Home for New York Sports", 104.5 The Team.
