When it comes to the Mets these days, most news is that of the bad kind.  The Mets will be without the services of left fielder Jason Bay and Pitcher Mike Pelfrey for at least 15 days as they have been placed on the disabled list.

Bay was put on the 15-day DL after an MRI showed a fracture the left side of his rib cage. The injury occured while trying to make a diving catch during the doubleheader against the Giants on Monday. Bay would actually stay in the game making two more plate appearances before leaving in the 8th inning.
