There will be a Mets theme to this year's New York State Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. SNY play by play man Gary Cohen is among those being honored, along with broadcast partner and former Mets great Keith Hernandez as well as Ron Swoboda, one of the 1969 Miracle Mets. Cohen and the crew will be inducted Sunday night in Troy.

Gary had a front row seat for one of the most impressive and bizarre seasons by a starting pitcher and because of that, there's no one who can speak more accurately on Jacob deGrom's Cy Young potential. As the importance on wins has diminished in the eyes of baseball people and voters, deGrom's other numbers speak for themselves.

deGrom is one of only two pitchers since ERA became an official stat in 1913 to post a season with a sub-2.00 ERA, at least 250 strikeouts and fewer than 50 walks. Pedro Martinez in 2000 is the only other pitcher to pull that off.
