We were expecting a pitcher's duel on Tuesday night, and neither Harvey nor Kuroda disappointed.  The former gave up only one run through eight innings, and struck out ten Yankee batters.  The latter hurled seven shutout frames.  Neither issued a walk.

Into the bottom of the ninth, only a Lyle Overbay RBI single separated the teams, and while the matter seemed a formality - with the 18/18 Mariano Rivera in to close the game - it proved to be anything but.

A David Wright single tied the game at one, and Lucas Duda followed with a single of his own to give the Mets a walk-off 2-1 win.

The Yanks and Mets will meet again Wednesday night, this time in the Bronx.  Coverage of the game begins on 104.5 The Team at 6:15.
