In a very strange turn of events, head coach Mike D'Antoni has resigned as head coach of the New York Knicks just hours after reports that he has lost control of the locker room.

Things have not been pretty for Mike D'Antoni in recent weeks.  He went from a team that was playing sensational basketball, to a team that has lost six straight and will most likely miss the the playoffs. Early on Wednesday, ESPN's Chris Broussard broke news that D'Antoni was losing the players trust.  Now, he has resigned as head coach.

The Knicks are scheduled to face the Portland Trailblazers tonight at Madison Square Garden.  No doubt the downward spiral of this team, that had high expectations, will get worse as dysfunction in the Knick locker room continues.
