There's a lot of optimism around the Mohonasen football program in 2015. Scott Sabourin returns as the program's head coach after working with Niskayuna for six years.

He previously served as the program's head coach before going to Niskayuna.

Sabourin and the Warriors will also be ushering in a brand new, state-of-the-art turf facility in 2015. The field will open for the Warriors season opener on Sept. 4 against South Glens Falls.

Prior to any of that though, the football program will be hosting a "Community Day" to bring excitement to the 2015 football program.

The day begins at 12 noon and will go until 3 p.m. 99 Restaurants is providing all the food for the event. The program is looking for fans, students, and community members to attend and help celebrate the start of the high school football season.

We spoke to Sabourin about the "Community Day" and the season ahead.

Mohonasen is a member of Class A, a very talented class that features prominent powers like Queensbury and Burnt Hills.
