Hopes For The New Year
Now that there are just 2 days left in 2010, I thought it would be a good time to look ahead to 2011. So I've come up with a list of things I'm hoping from my sports teams next year.
WASHINGTON REDSKINS: I just hope they figure out what the deal is at quarterback and I pray that the future QB isn't Rex Grossman! That, and I hope the Skins don't have to use their 6th string running back next year. I can only hope that Albert Haynesworth(less) is sent packing to Siberia.
.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES: All I'm hoping from my Orioles is that they are at least competitive in 2011. I'm dreaming of a White Christmas and a 500 record. That's not that unrealistic, is it?
.
WASHINGTON CAPITALS: I just hope the Caps can figure out how to actually score meaningful goals in the post-season and perhaps get a goalie that knows how to perform in the playoffs.
.
WASHINGTON WIZARDS: I'm hoping for the 1st pick in the 2011 NBA Draft!
.
MARYLAND BASKETBALL: Another trip to the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 would be nice. It's been a few years since I've been able to truly enjoy the 2nd weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
.
MARYLAND FOOTBALL: Perhaps we'll hire a coach with some sort of Division I head coaching experience. Texas Tech's Mike Leach would be my wish!
.
Happy New Year to all. Here's to hoping your dreams and wishes come true in 2011!
